God's Provision

“And my God will meet all your
needs according to his
glorious riches in
Jesus Christ.”
-- Philippians 4:19

God always provides a way
even in the most difficult of
times. Scripture tells us that
God will meet all of our needs.
It’s a guarantee that we can
bank on. A quick flip back through biblical history shows us a God who at times works miraculously meeting the needs of His people: the manna in the desert--Exodus 16; a little cooking oil and the widow at Zarephath--1 Kings 17; and Paul’s deliverance from a shipwreck--Acts 27.

For many Colorado families, our national recession has seriously pinched and changed our economic realities. Many families have lost jobs, homes and a comfortable standard of living.

However, if you are like me, it’s easy to forget how God provides for us even when we don’t realize it or when it appears that we may have lost much.
Often, it seems that we are only aware of His provision when we face a crisis or when we don’t get what we want -- when we want it. There may not be mounds of money, lavish vacations or expensive cars. God, however, always provides for his people in His way and in His time.

God will meet your family’s needs no matter what they may be. There will be a path, perhaps even a person or circumstance which will enter into your situation and provide for it. God’s actions are always more than simply meeting our immediate needs. Often His actions include others and they point back to Him as the supplier of all or our needs. Pray about your needs today and don’t lose hope and faith. God will provide a way.
